Steinbeis Papier celebrates winning the German Sustainability Award

Glückstadt, 02/11/2023 – The renowned German Sustainability Award (GSA) has a clear winner in the Basic Materials category. Following an exciting nomination process and a thrilling final, Steinbeis Papier triumphed over numerous other entrants to scoop the highly coveted prize.

The GSA aims to reward businesses that make outstanding contributions to their industries. These businesses then serve as examples for others, inspiring them to take similar steps towards sustainability.

Ulrich Feuersinger, the Managing Director of Steinbeis Papier, was delighted with his company’s win: “We’re very honoured and are looking forward immensely to receiving the German Sustainability Award in the Basic Materials category. This is the result of years of hard work and our tireless commitment to even more sustainable products and production conditions. At Steinbeis Papier, we’re proud to be bringing the recycled paper industry forward and to have a positive influence on sustainability in the industry.”

CEOs and sustainability managers from the winning companies will receive their prizes on Thursday 23 November 2023 at an evening awards ceremony during the course of a congress at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf. The event will be attended by Federal Minister for the Environment Steffi Lemke, Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius and other prominent speakers. A number of guests of honour are also expected from business and civic society, along with around 120 media representatives.

Steinbeis Papier will send a delegation to receive the German Sustainability Award in person.
