Glückstadt, 25/09/2023 – Steinbeis Papier has made it into the final round of the German Sustainability Award (GSA). They were nominated in the Basic Materials category, which recognises companies that make outstanding contributions to sustainability and resource efficiency in the production of paper, cardboard and carton.

The GSA is a major award bestowed in collaboration with the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the Federal Ministry for the Environment, and other partners. This year is the first time that businesses from 100 different sectors that offer sustainable solutions to the challenges of our time will be recognised. The GSA jury selects companies that have demonstrated effective and exemplary ways of bringing about transformation in their industries.

Steinbeis Papier earned its place among the finalists for its outstanding sustainability work. The company produces high-quality recycled paper made entirely of recovered paper. Its focus on the circular economy and its efficient use of resources has made Steinbeis Papier a leader in the industry.

The winners of the German Sustainability Award are due to be announced in a special edition of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on 31 October 2023. The awards ceremony will take place at the Maritim Hotel on Thursday 23 November 2023, bringing together CEOs and sustainability managers from the 100 leading companies across all sectors, as well as prominent guests from politics, business and civic society.
